We are now recruiting a Lead Integration Engineer - Power-to-X to support Liquid Wind and the efuel Design and Performance Centre in becoming a world leading developer of green electrofuel facilities, and this could be the opportunity for you to join our team!
The world rapidly needs to electrify to replace fossil fuels on a massive scale. The hard-to-abate sectors like shipping, aviation and heavy land transport cannot be electrified with battery power and require a different type of electrification: Electrofuel made from renewable electricity and biogenic CO2.
Liquid Wind is a fast-growing company, headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden and with a presence in Denmark, Finland and the UK. We have approx. 63 employees and are looking for a person that enjoys developing and growing together with the company. Our business model is designed for scale, and we have a solid pipeline of projects in development in the Nordic countries with the goal of reaching Final Investment Decision (FID) for reaching more than 10 projects by 2027.
Moreover, Liquid Wind has together with key partners Siemens Energy, Topsoe, Carbon Clean and Alfa Laval created a joint efuel Design and Performance Centre, where staff seconded in from all parties will work together on a daily basis to create the future competitive designs of eMethanol facilities based on learnings from earlier facilities design and operating data, all documented in a Digital Twin.
The location for this position is in Hørsholm, Denmark. Some travel will be required within the role.
Responsibilities
We are looking for an Lead Integration Engineer - Power-to-X who will be the point of contact between our Design and Performance Center and Liquid Wind. In this role, you will facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure the alignment of design objectives and technical specifications for our eFuel facility project.
Your main tasks will be
- Oversee the integration of various plant design components, ensuring seamless operation and efficiency
- Develop and review detailed engineering documents (layouts, P&ID, piping diagrams etc)
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues and optimize design solutions
- Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for plant design improvements
About you
As a proactive and driven professional, you excel in communication and stakeholder management. Your ability to effectively engage with various stakeholders and manage complex projects ensures successful outcomes and continuous improvement.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Process engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in plant engineering within the chemical, petrochemical, or renewable energy sectors
- Proven experience in one of the following fields for example as a Design or Lead Engineer is an advantage: methanol plant design, carbon capture plant design and compressor house systems
- Strong knowledge of plant layout, plant integration management and heat exchangers
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools is an advantage (e.g., AutoCAD, Plant 3D)
The company language is English, and preferably you understand and speak a Scandinavian language.
