The world rapidly needs to electrify to replace fossil fuels on a massive scale. The hard-to-abate sectors like shipping, aviation and heavy land transport cannot be electrified with battery power and require a different type of electrification: Electrofuel made from renewable electricity and biogenic CO2.
Our business model is designed for scale, and we have a solid pipeline of projects in development in the Nordic countries with the goal of reaching Final Investment Decision (FID) for reaching more than 10 projects by 2027. We have a strong group of investors, including Alfa Laval, Carbon Clean, Elyse Energy, HyCap, Siemens Energy, Topsoe and Uniper.
Liquid Wind is a fast-growing company, headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden and with a presence in Denmark, Finland and the UK. We have approx. 70 employees and are looking for a person that enjoys developing and growing together with the company.
The location for this position is Denmark or Sweden. Some travel will be required within the role.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager - Power-to-X to lead one of the eFuel facilities, overseeing every stage from conceptualization to construction. As the Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive project engineering plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations. Collaboration will be key as you coordinate with engineering, procurement, host, and supplier teams to ensure seamless progress and timely achievement of project milestones.
Your main tasks will be
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure technical deliverables at the right maturity and accuracy level
- Conduct regular project design reviews, value engineering and status meetings with stakeholders
- Prepare and present project progress reports to senior management
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in project management processes
About you
You are a proactive and driven individual with a proven track record in methanol synthesis plant design, carbon capture plant design, hydrogen electrolysis plant design or compressor system design. Your hands-on experience in these fields demonstrates your ability to handle complex technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions. You finish what you start.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, civil engineering or electrical engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in technical project management of FEED studies within the chemical, petrochemical, or Carbon capture industry
- In-depth knowledge of relevant EN industry standards, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The company language is English, but preferably you understand and speak a Scandinavian language.
