Senior Process Engineer - Power-to-X
Join our pioneering Power-to-Fuel company, dedicated to supplying renewable liquid fuel for carbon-neutral shipping. Bring your expertise to drive a meaningful reduction in global carbon emissions!
Are you looking for an exciting and inspiring place to work? We are now recruiting a Senior Process Engineer to support Liquid Wind in becoming a world leading developer of green electrofuel facilities, and this could be the opportunity for you to join our team!
The world rapidly needs to electrify to replace fossil fuels on a massive scale. The hard-to-abate sectors like shipping, aviation and heavy land transport cannot be electrified with battery power and require a different type of electrification: Electrofuel made from renewable electricity and biogenic CO2.
Our business model is designed for scale, and we have a solid pipeline of projects in development in the Nordic countries with the goal of reaching Financial Investment Decision (FID) for 10 projects by 2027. We have a strong group of investors, including Alfa Laval, Carbon Clean, Elyse Energy, HyCap, Siemens Energy, Topsoe and Uniper.
Liquid Wind is a fast-growing company, headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden and with a presence in Denmark, Finland and the UK. We have approx. 75 employees and are looking for a person that enjoys developing and growing together with the company.
The location for this position is in Denmark or Sweden. There will be some travel within the role.

As a Senior Process Engineer at Liquid Wind, you will work in a project-based role ensuring that process decisions align with our strategic direction. You will play a key coordinating role, balancing various stakeholder requirements and ensuring that the project meets expectations. This role involves close collaboration with both internal and external resources, while also managing specific process areas within the project. This position includes occasional travel, estimated at around once a month.
You will be reporting to Ulrika Grimfeldt, Process Technology and Development Manager located in Gothenburg.

- Lead initiatives for internal operational improvements within the process discipline at Liquid Wind
About you
We believe you are a person who is adaptable, proactive, and a good communicator.
You have a strong analytical mindset that allows you to manage detailed tasks while also seeing the bigger picture. You are decisive, comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment, and enjoy taking the initiative to contribute both to your projects but also to the organization in its whole
- You have a post-secondary education in, for example, chemical or mechanical engineering with a focus on process engineering, with at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering, gained from industries such as refineries, chemical plants, paper mills, nuclear, energy or automotive sectors.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate between different parties
It is not a requirement, but it is advantageous if you have experience working with the system Comos or have expertise in key process areas such as CO2 capture or methanol synthesis. A background in the process industry is a big plus.
