Commercial Manager - Power-to-X

The world rapidly needs to electrify to replace fossil fuels on a massive scale. The hard-to-abate sectors like shipping, aviation and heavy land transport cannot be electrified with battery power and require a different type of electrification: Electrofuel made from renewable electricity and biogenic CO2.
Our business model is designed for scale, and we have a solid pipeline of projects in development in the Nordic countries with the goal of reaching Final Investment Decision (FID) for reaching more than 10 projects by 2027. We have a strong group of investors, including Alfa Laval, Carbon Clean, Elyse Energy, HyCap, Siemens Energy, Topsoe and Uniper.
Liquid Wind is a fast-growing company, headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden and with a presence in Denmark, Finland and the UK. We have approx. 70 employees and are looking for a person that enjoys developing and growing together with the company.
The location for this position is Denmark or Sweden. Some travel will be required within the role.
Responsibilities
As the Commercial Manager at Liquid Wind, you will play a crucial role in our project development and execution phases, ensuring the seamless transition and alignment of commercial interests from inception to operational readiness. You will support the Project and Business Development Teams in taking viable projects from inception to approval and manage all site-specific commercial relations outside of EPC delivery.
Your main tasks will be:
- Draft and negotiate Balance of Plant and other host-related commercial contracts
- Develop key aspects for a successful “host journey,” ensuring a balanced business case
- Collaborate with various Liquid Wind departments (Procurement, Legal, Investment, Finance) to enhance our external commercial package
- Address scopes and risk interdependencies within the project business case
- Support efforts to secure power, off-take, and logistical setups, linking with Power & Fuel peers
- Liaison on all matters relating to commercial and technical aspects of balance of plant and host related services and contracts for execution
About you
You have a strong commercial sense and are a natural relationship builder with an outside-in view. You have the drive and are a hands-on person who takes the initiative. Being a naturally team player is just as important as having a holistic mindset that allows you to see the big picture. Your expertise in legal and contract management enables you to navigate complex agreements with ease. You possess strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and outcomes and have a good understanding of technical aspects to effectively manage and communicate with various stakeholders.
- University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or other related field
- Proven deal-making experience, demonstrating your ability to close profitable deals
- Experience in a commercial management role or similar position
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The company language is English, but preferably you understand and speak a Scandinavian language.
