We are now looking for a CAD System Manager to join Liquid Wind and play a critical role in designing our eMethanol facilities. This is your opportunity to work in an innovative and fast-paced environment, driving the development of efficient design workflows and cutting-edge plant engineering solutions.
The location for this position is in Copenhagen or Gothenburg. There will be some travel within the role. The company language is English, and preferably you understand and speak a Scandinavian language. You will report to the Head of Engineering and Project Management based in Hørsholm, Denmark.
About the role
As CAD system manager, you will lead and oversee the CAD system to ensure high-quality design outputs and efficient workflows. Collaborating across disciplines, you will ensure accurate representation of design intent while staying at the forefront of CAD technologies relevant to eMethanol plant design. Your responsibilities include conducting clash detection analyses to identify and resolve potential design conflicts and staying updated on advancements in CAD software and technologies to continuously enhance processes.

- Lead the development and implementation of efficient CAD workflows and standards for eMethanol plant design.
- Oversee the integration and coordination of 3D models across engineering disciplines, ensuring design consistency and accuracy.
- Manage and maintain the CAD software environment, including licensing, updates, and data security.
- Collaborate with engineers and project stakeholders to ensure the CAD models accurately represent the design intent.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive CAD library with standardized components and assemblies.
About you
You are an experienced CAD professional with solid technical expertise and a genuine interest in innovation. Your proactive approach, structured mindset, and good communication skills enable you to effectively manage complex design systems. With strong organizational abilities, you are skilled at creating and maintaining structure in fast-paced environments, supported by your ability to collaborate well with others through clear communication and strong interpersonal skills. You must hold a valid European working permit to be considered for this position.
To succeed in this role, you ...
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in CAD system management, preferably within engineering or construction.
- In-depth knowledge of leading 3D modeling software used in plant design (e.g. AutoCAD, PDMS, AVEVA).
- Proven experience in developing and implementing CAD standards and workflows.
- Expertise in piping and layout design.
- Proficiency in IT systems, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
